Sweet Potato Fries with Brown Sugar Glaze

📋 Ingredients:

  • Fries: 2–3 large sweet potatoes (cut into fries)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Optional: corn starch for added crisp
  • Glaze: 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Juice of 1/2 orange
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp apple juice (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp corn starch
  • Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice (to taste)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cut sweet potatoes into even fries. Be careful!
  2. Toss in olive oil and salt. Bake at 400°F for 25–35 minutes until tender.
  3. Let cool, then dust with corn starch and shake off excess.
  4. Fry in oil at 350°F for 2–4 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Make glaze: melt butter, add sugar, juices, and spices. Thicken with corn starch and simmer until glossy.
  6. Serve fries hot with glaze for dipping or drizzle on top.
