How To Make a Crab Casserole
Easy, creamy crab casserole with chive & onion cream cheese, melty cheeses, and a golden top — perfect for parties or cozy dinners.

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb imitation crab (or fresh crab meat)
- 7.5 oz Philadelphia Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread
- 1–3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Monterey Jack & Triple Cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 or similar baking dish.
- Sauté aromatics (optional but tasty): In a small skillet, soften onion and celery in a spoon of the melted butter, 3–4 minutes. Cool slightly.
- Mix filling: In a bowl combine cream cheese spread, mayonnaise, sautéed onion & celery, and most of the shredded cheese. Fold in crab gently. Season to taste (salt/pepper if desired).
- Assemble: Spread mixture in the baking dish. Drizzle remaining melted butter over top and sprinkle the rest of the cheese.
- Bake: 25–30 minutes until hot, bubbling at edges, and lightly golden on top.
- Serve: Rest 5 minutes, then serve with crackers, toasted baguette, or over rice/pasta.
