🧂 Ingredients

Dry Mix

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1/2 tsp cocoa powder (sifted)

Wet Mix

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp bourbon
  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled

Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup chocolate morsels (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1/2 cup crushed pecans

Bake: 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes

👩🏽‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Crush pecans; set aside.
  2. Whisk Dry Mix together until even.
  3. Cream butter with brown sugar and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in vanilla and bourbon.
  5. Melt chocolate gently; cool slightly, then fold into wet mix.
  6. Add dry mix; stir just until combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
  8. Scoop onto a parchment-lined tray; bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
  9. Cool briefly; enjoy chewy centers and set edges.
